Neil Maunder Principal - Guitar, Bass and Theory Teacher
Neil Maunder is the principle of the college as well as one of the Guitar and Bass teachers. He has worked his whole working life in the music business working for numerous educational establishments such as Access to music and Trafford college.
He set up Maunder's school of popular music in 2008 and it has continued to grow at a fast rate.
Neil has a lot of professional experience as a guitarist with shows such as Dangerous live - The Michael Jackson tribute show, which featured legendary bassist Barry Johnson from the sweet sensations.
He has played/toured with original bands such as the late 90's rock band 'The Insane pipers', playing a string of sold out gigs in Manchester venues such as the Band on the wall.
His students include Martin Finnagan (the Rainband), Dave Johnson (session bassist with the sugar babes and many major pop acts).
He is an enthusiastic teacher with a huge client base of all ages. Neil has students that have continued lessons with him for many years. Excellent with beginner, intermediate and advanced players.

Caroline Hendry - Vocals
Caroline is a professional musician and lead singer of the Manchester band Plume. Caroline has a large student base at Maunder's with students of all ages and ability. She is great at building students confidence, vocal range and technique giving them the tools to continue to develop.
Caroline is a graduate of the Royal Northern college of music.

Chris Gascoyne Opera Vocals, Classical Piano and Theory
Christopher Gascoyne is a classically trained baritone, who began his studies at the age of 16 with Andrew Foan at the Wimbourne Studio in Poole. While with Andrew, he sang in various concerts and performed many roles in Opera excerpts. These roles include Count Almaviva in excerpts from the Marriage of Figaro, Don Giovanni from Don Giovanni, among others. While in Poole, he also sang for the Bournemouth Gilbert and Sullivan Society, performing the role of the Boatswain in H.M.S Pinafore, among others. Christopher also has experience singing oratorios and music theatre.
Christopher joined the Royal Northern College of Music in 2012, where he started studying under Tomas Schulze, after a year and a half he began study with Peter Wilson, both vastly experienced and highly sought after singing tutors.
Chris also teaches music theory and can help prepare for exams with ABRSM.
Bruce JefferiesPiano Teacher
Bruce has a wealth of experience as a pianist both as a soloist and in ensemble (including piano concertos).
A graduate from the Royal northern college of music and a very popular teacher with both children and adults.
Bruce's students have a 100% pass rate with grade exams.

Sean FranklandBass, Guitar, Piano and DrumsPGCE
Sean is a very experienced musician in a professional gigging band with management. He is an incredibly proficient guitarist with years of teaching experience at colleges such as Access too music, stockport and Trafford college.
He is also our most multi-talented musician with three main instruments.
Sean is the bassist from the popular Manchester Band 'Mohawk Radio' and has played gigs including the 'Etihad stadium'
Zlatan PasalicPiano and Bass
Zlatan is an experienced piano, keyboard and bass player currently living in Manchester, making his living from teaching and performing. With over 20 years performance experience and over 3 years teaching experience, he has built up the ability to teach a wide variety of students of all ages and experiences, ranging from absolute beginner to advanced. Zlatan is also experienced in taking students through their examination grades, and currently holds a 100% student pass rate.
He holds a BA Music Composition and Professional Practice (Hons) from Coventry University, and uses that experience to tailor lessons to each individual student, since he believes that everyone learns differently and at different paces.
As well as teaching piano, keyboard and bass, Zlatan also enjoys teaching music theory and composition.
He plays keyboard in the Manchester Hip-Hop band “The Shady 80s” and has already played countless gigs in some of Manchester’s very well-known venues, such as Matt & Phreds, The Ritz, Manchester Academy 3, Manchester Club Academy and Deaf Institute, along with many other venues in Cities around The UK.
Zlatan has also recorded a track in London’s Strongroom Studios with legendary producer Tony Platt, after winning a performance competition playing Bass Guitar with his old band “Mysterians!”
As a technical player and composer Ed specialises in the more progressive genres such as rock/metal/death metal etc and likewise specialises in advanced technique tuition in these styles.
Trevor Curley Guitar Teacher
Trevor has a wealth of experience in the music industry and live performance. He was formally in the successful Manchester band 'The high nines'.
He has been teaching at Maunder's since 2008. Trevor specialises in teaching beginners and has developed a system for giving learners the best possible foundation to become advanced.
Kyle LarkinDrum Teacher
Kyle is our full time drum teacher and professional musician . With a wealth of teacher and performance experience he has helped students of all ability reach their drumming goals.
Kyle has a large student base at the school of all ages and abilities.
